Lofoten Rorbuferie is situated only 500 metres from Kabelvåg town centre
– the oldest town in the Lofoten Islands.
Lofoten Rorbuferie was an old fish landing station that was closed down in the 1970’s. In 1998 the first floor of the building was converted into an overnight accommodation facility for tourists looking for a basic, reasonably priced yet satisfactory accommodation alternative.
On the first floor there are 8 rooms, each accommodating 2-4 persons. The rooms are furnished and recently redecorated. There are two shared bathrooms with shower and WC, and a fully equipped kitchen with a cooker, microwave and freezer.
In spring 2004, the ground floor was also restored and converted into 4 modern, high standard apartments for 2-4 persons.
Activities:
• Hire of rowing boats• Hire motorboats and bicycles
• Fishing trips together with an experienced skipper, or sea fishing from the rocks.
• Hiking in the peace and quiet of the wild and wonderful mountains and surrounding countryside.
• Museum, aquarium and galleries 200-500 metres from the site.
